There are many campsites where you can do camping in Italy. Most of these are found in the mountains and coastal areas. Often the sites provide space for tents, caravans and trailers, with facilities including washrooms, running water and electricity.

Campsites near the beach may also have water sports facilities for swimming, boating, canoeing and other water sports. Some may have tennis courts for hire. There are also those with chalets and family-size cabins that are rented out to groups.

To look for such campsites, you should contact the Touring Club Italiano.
