 Derbyshire, England
Derbyshire is a county of England in East Midlands. It covers 2,625 sq km (1,014 sq mi) and has a population of slightly over a million people. The northern part of Derbyshire is characterized by hills and mountains of the Pennines.

A substantially forested county, Derbyshire has within its boundaries parts of the Peak District National Park and parts of the National Forest. The county is sparsely populated, with its people engaged mostly in farming. Coal mining was an industry particularly in the northeast, in the Erewash Valley and in the south around Swadlincote.
The city of Derby is the only city in the area. In addition, there are about 30 towns with population ranging from 10,000 to 100,000.

Visiting Derbyshire
You can take the East Midlands train from London St Pancras Station to Derby. There are also coaches by National Express from London to Derby.
