Dijon is a city in France. It is near to the borders of Switzerland and Germany, and is the capital of the Côte-d'Or département and the Burgundy region. The city has a population of around 150,000 and a metropolitan area with 240,000 inhabitants.

The city was named after Dijon mustard. Today though the tradition of making mustard is still strong in the city, most of the mustard seeds are now imported, mainly from Canada. Dijon is also famous for wine and liqueurs. It is one of the best wine producing regions of France.
