Durazno, Uruguay Travel Guide
Durazno is a city in the central hinterland of Uruguay. It is situated on the south bank of the Yi River. The city was founded in 1821 and was originally known as Villa San Pedro del Durazno. It was granted city status in 1906. Today Durazno has a population of 31,000 people (2011 estimate).

Visiting Durazno
There are regular buses linking Montevideo with Durazno. You can also take a flight to the Santa Bernardina International Airport (DZO), located just 3 km from downtown Durazno.
