Herefordshire, England
Herefordshire is a county in West Midland, England. It covers 2,180 sq km (840 sq mi) and has a population of 180,000 (2011 estimate). Herefordshire is bordered by Shropshire to the north, Worcestershire to the east, Gloucestershire to the southeast, the Welsh preserved county of Gwent to the southwest, and the Welsh preserved county of Powys to the west. The county town as well as largest town in Herefordshire is Hereford.
Herefordshire is located in a rural part of England. It is sparsely populated. The people here are mostly engaged in agriculture. Hereford cattle is one of the chief breeds of farm animals here, and its most famous export. The county flower of Herefordshire is the mistletoe, selected in a competition in 2004.
