Klosters is a well-known ski resort in Graubünden canton in eastern Switzerland. To differentiate it from other places with the name name, it is often called Klosters-Serneus. Situated 1,179 m (3,868 ft) above sea level, Klosters covers 193.16 sq km (74.58 sq mi) and has a population of less than 4,000 people (2011 estimate).

Once a medieval monastery village that developed in the 13th century, Klosters has evolved into a chic and modern ski resort today. Apart from its name (Klosters means monastery), the only trace of the monastery in Klosters is the Church of St James (Kirche St Jacob), which is noted for its exquisite stained-glass windows.

Today Klosters receive spillover visitors from the bigger, more established Davos. It maintains itself as an exclusive tourist destination. The ski slopes of Klosters, shared with Davos, is suitable for skiers of all levels of experience.

Klosters is 150 km (93 mi) from Zürich. From Zürich, take a train to Davos, and from there, a cable car to Klosters.
