Knebworth is a small village in North Hertfordshire, in Hertfordshire, England. It is also a civil parish that includes the neighboring villages of Datchworth, Woolmer Green, Codicote, Kimpton, Whitwell, St Paul's Walden and Langley. Collectively, Knebworth has a population of around 5,000 people (2012 estimate).

According to archaeological evidence, there were already people living in the Knebworth area as early as the Neolithic age. Knebworth was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Chenepeworde. The present village is about a mile to the east of the original settlement, now called Old Knebworth.
