Leicestershire, England
Leicestershire is a ceremonial county in East Midlands, England. It covers 2,156 sq km (832 sq mi) and has a population of 940,500 (2011 estimate). Leicestershire is bordered by Derbyshire tothe northwest, Nottinghamshire to the north, Lincolnshire to the northeast, Rutland to the east, Northamptonshire to the southeast and Warwickshire to the southwest. The traditional capital of Leicestershire is the city of Leicester. However, Leicester is now administered separately, and the county town for Leicestershire is today County Hall.

Leicestershire has a long tradition in metalworks, particularly in bellfounding, which goes back to as early as the 14th century. The largest bell in Britain, called the Great Paul, was cast in Leicestershire, and is now at St Paul's Cathedral in London.
Visiting Leicestershire
Take the M1 motorway from London to Leicester, and from there you can continue to the different places in Leicestershire. There are also trains from London ton Leicester by East Midlands Trains. The journey takes about 70 minutes.
