Mürren is a tiny hamlet in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Situated 1,650 m (5,413 ft) above sea level, Mürren is a car-free village popular with tourists. The people of Mürren speak Walser, a local German dialect.

Due to its spectacular sceneries, Mürren attracts visitors in summer and winter. During summer, people can go for walks and hikes while in winter they can go skiing in Mürren. The village is surrounded by three majestic mountains, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
There is nothing much to say about Mürren. After all it has a population of just around 350 people (2011 estimate). The village itself has two churches, one for the Catholics and the other for the Protestants.
Visiting Mürren
Most visitors take the Schilthorn Cable Car to Mürren. The service connects Gimmelwald and Stechelberg downhill with Mürren, and from Mürren the service goes uphill to the top of Schilthorn, where there is a revolving restaurant, the Piz Gloria. The site was used for location shooting for the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service, with George Lazenby as Bond.
