Ocho Rios is a town on the northern coast of Jamaica, within the parish of Saint Ann. It is believed to be the first site that Christopher Columbus set foot in Jamaica. The name means "eight rivers" in Spanish, an incorrect description since there aren't eight rivers in the area.

Ocho Rios is one of the tourist destinations in Jamaica. Most of the tourists descending on it disembark directly from passing cruise ships. When these massive ocean liners arrive, they tend to overshadow the otherwise little town.
