Rhine Falls (Rheinfall), Switzerland
Rhine Falls (German: Rheinfall) is the largest plain waterfall in Europe. It is located in Schaffhausen canton in northern Switzerland, between the towns of Neuhausen am Rheinfall on the north bank of the Rhine and Laufen-Uhwiesen on the south.

Rhine Falls is 150 m (450 ft) wide and 23 m (75 ft) high. An average of 700 cubic meter of water flows through it every second in winter. This goes down to 250 cubic meter per second in winter.
Visitors to the area have several options to view the waterfalls. There are viewing platforms on both sides of the Rhine. Close to the falls is Schlösschen W&oum;rth, a charming little castle built over the river. On the opposite bank is Schloss Laufen, another castle offering views of the waterfall. In addition, you can also take tourist boats to view the falls from the river.
