Villach is a city in the state of Carintha in southern Austria. Located on the Drava River, it covers 134.89 sq km (52 sq mi) and has a population of 59,000 (2011 estimate). The city is the second most populous in Carintha. It is 501 m (1,644 ft) above sea level. Villach observes the Central European Time, which is UTC+1, and in summer, the Central European Summer Time, which is UTC+2.
