The people in Worcestershire speak a dialect that is distinct from elsewhere in England. In addition, the towns of Redditch and Kidderminster have their own unique accent affected by influences from the Black Country accent.

Landlocked on the western part of England, Worcestershire is within a rural part of the country. The area is composed of volcanic igneous rock and metamorphic rock, particularly on Malvern Hills. Agriculture is the main occupation of the area, primarily fruit farming and the cultivation of hops.
